Get a no objection letter for a Thai citizenship application

Use this service if you’re a British person and you need a no objection letter for a Thai citizenship application.

The law in Thailand needs you to give up (renounce) any existing citizenship to get Thai citizenship. You do not have to do this if you're a woman married to a Thai national.

Find out how to give up your British citizenship.

You'll need to get a certified copy of your passport from the embassy, which costs an additional £25. Send your UK passport to the embassy after you've applied online.

It’s your responsibility to make sure you’re using the correct service and that the relevant authority will accept your document.
