Get a letter for a registration data or criminal record certificate

Use this service if you’re a British person and you need a letter for a registration data or criminal record certificate.

To get a registration data certificate (certificado de datos registrales) or criminal record certificate you’ll need a letter from the British Embassy Mexico City requesting a background check from Mexican authorities. The Mexican authorities are responsible for processing the checks and issuing the certificates – the embassy cannot provide the certificates directly.

It’s your responsibility to make sure you’re using the correct service and that the relevant authority will accept your document.
